Getting your motorcycle endorsement at the DMV means adding an 'M' to your driver's license. You'll need to pass a written knowledge test covering motorcycle-specific traffic laws and safe riding practices, then either take a skills test on their lot or present a completion certificate from a state-approved motorcycle safety course. Many riders find the safety course worth it for the waiver and real training.
